And she's not even sure--not entirely--that the second death of the prophecy is what she's describing. But Gideon needs certainty, and she can give her that, if she fakes it well enough. She's been doing it all her life.
"The test with the construct--seeing through your eyes. I think I need you as a secure point from which to complete the work. I need you to hold me steady."
